JERON Teng on Christmas Eve signed a contract with AMA Online Education for the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup.
The former La Salle standout signed a one-conference deal with AMA, which selected the UAAP Season 79 finals Most Valuable Player after leading the Green Archers to the crown.
“We thank the Teng family. They are so humble especially Tito Alvin and Tita Susan,” said AMA coach Mark Herrera, who added that AMA owners Amable Aguiluz IV and Amable Aguiluz V, and team manager and AMA senior vice president Arnel Hibo were also supportive in having Teng in the squad.
Teng’s addition is expected to be a big boost for the AMA squad that has yet to reach the semifinals of the PBA D-League.
In addition to Teng, AMA also signed up University of the Philippines guard Diego Dario and veteran big man Jay-R Taganas in the line-up.
