LOOKS like Jeron Teng has developed a new weapon that makes him even more formidable in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup.

Teng put his latest arsenal on display last week when Flying V racked up its seventh straight victory at the expense of Centro Escolar University, 91-79.

The former La Salle star, known more for his drives ala raging bull, registered 30 points while nailing four three-pointers.

Asked about it, Teng said he just tried to lean on his outside shooting after the Scoprions employed a zone defense.

"Factor din defense kasi naka-zone sila. Pag zone naman ginigive-up nila yung outside so yun I just took what was given to me," he said.

But the young forward was quick to add it was something he was trying to improve since his later years in La Salle, where he won two UAAP titles.

"Pina-practice ko talaga yung outside shooting ko kasi yun naman talaga yung kailangan ko i-improve and good thing pumasok naman," he said.

Developing his outside shooting will also increase his stocks as he is set to apply for the PBA Rookie Draft this year.

Asked to grade his game now, Teng said "I always see rooms for improvement and I am trying to improve on my outside shooting."
