FLYING V may be sitting comfortably atop the standings, but the unbeaten Thunder are keeping themselves grounded despite a perfect 6-0 record so far in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup.
Flying V star Jeron Teng insisted they are still far from perfect.
"Goal lang namin is to improve every time," said Teng, who exploded for 30 points against Tanduay last Thursday.
"We start at practice, we focus on our improvement. We don't get content and we want to work hard to get what we want this conference," he added.
Teng said they will bring the same mindset when they take on streaking Centro Escolar University on Tuesday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
Like Flying V, the Scorpions are also on a roll, having won their last four games after dropping the first two.
But with a formidable supporting cast led by Gab Banal, Teng is confident the Thunder will be able to preserve the record.
"We all know that we’re a talented team and anyone can step up any given day," he said.
The match starts at 5 p.m. after the 3 p.m. clash between Wangs Basketball and AMA Online Education.
