Jeron Teng returns to power Thunder to come-from-behind win over Skippers

JERON Teng did well despite feeling under the weather as Flying V hammered out a come-from-behind 83-78 win over Marinerong Pilipino on Monday in the PBA D-League Fiundation Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Teng scored eight of the last nine points for the Thunder, who erased an 18-point deficit early in the match.

After representing the country in the Fiba 3x3 World Cup in France last week, Teng returned to play for the Thunder, checked in with 4:44 left in the second period and Flying V trailing 33-20.

Flying V preserved a perfect 4-0 win-loss record while the Skippers fell to 1-3.

"We started really bad. Its a good thing we regrouped. Nabuhayan kami nung pumasok si Jeron," said Flying V coach Eric Altamirano.

Teng finished with 15 points, four rebounds and six assists, but it was Eric Salamat who topscored for the Thunder with 20 points.

Hans Thiele also made his presence felt with 15 points and 15 rebounds.

Julian Sargent scored 14 points for the Skippers.
