JEFF Viernes found his range and proved that he’s more than just a slasher as Che’Lu Bar and Grill tore AMA Online Education into shreds with a 139-101 domination Thursday in the 2018 PBA D-League Foundation Cup at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

The veteran guard connected on seven of his 14 treys, finishing with 35 points, four assists, three rebounds and three steals as the Revellers regained sole leadership with a 6-2 record.

Levi Hernandez also made good on his promise to bounce back in his second game, uncorking 17 second half points to finish with 22, on top of six boards and four assists.

Jason Melano registered a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Chris Bitoon had 12 points and four assists in the big win.

The Revellers’ 31-point explosion in the second quarter did the trick as they raced to a 60-42 halftime lead, which even extended to 40, 136-96, with a Dawn Ochea undergoal stab in the last 1:16.

“When is good enough? Di naman pare-pareho ang makakalaban, kaya dapat yung intensity natin, dapat pare-parehas. Kailangan ayusin natin yung mga bad habits sa mga ganitong laro,” said coach Stevenson Tiu, as Che’Lu formally eliminated AMA from playoff contention.

“Yung mga games na ito ang pwede namin itest yung ibang players para pagdating sa playoffs, handa sila.”

Andre Paras led the hapless Titans (0-8) with 16 points and 12 rebounds, as John Carlo Garcia and Ken Soriano both had 15.

    The scores:

    Che’Lu Bar 139 – Viernes 35, Hernandez 22, Bitoon 12, Melano 12, Collado 11, Siruma 10, Ng 9, Flores 8, Lao 5, Taganas 5, Mallari 4, Sta. Ana 4, Ochea 2.
