RACAL coach Jerry Codinera believes Jackson Corpuz could be the next PBA D-League player to move to the pros following a stellar showing this conference.
Undrafted in 2014, Corpuz is making a case for a call-up as he anchors the Racal squad filled with NCAA players.
With the Tile Masters’ backs against the wall, the 6-foot-4 Corpuz had 20 points and 11 rebounds in a Game Two win that sent the Aspirants Cup title series to a deciding match.

Corpuz also helped limit Jason Perkins to 13 points after he scored 30 in the series opener.
"He's very consistent and very promising. He's a pro-bound player. He has the tools to become a good player. Very promising," said Codinera.
Corpuz has averages of 18 points and 9.5 rebounds in the finals.

For the former PCU Dolphin, he's just merely playing his role as one of the leaders of the team, having years of experience in the D-League.
"Siguro ginawa namin yung role ng bawat isa. Iwas gigil. Game One kasi lahat kami gigil e. Lahat gusto manalo na. Di naman pwede yun. Lahat kami na-frustrate," said Corpuz.
"Kinausap namin sila na kailangan gawin yung role ng bawat isa, maging relaxed lang at i-enjoy yung laro," he added.

Corpuz downplayed the praise after the big game, saying he just let the game come to him.
"In-enjoy ko lang e. Ginawa ko lang talaga yung role ko."
