Cliff Hodge of the NLEX Road Warriors was named the Best Player of the PBA D-League Foundation Cup.
Hodge, who led the Road Warriors to a perfect 9-0 win-loss record in the elimination round, will receive the trophy before Game Two of the finals between NLEX and Big Chill.
Hodge also led the season's Mythical Selection where he was joined by teammate RR Garcia, Lester Alvarez and Vic Manuel of Cebuana Lhuillier and Big Chill's Alex Mallari.
With NLEX's bid for a third straight title hampered by the absence of varsity stars Garcia, Calvin Abueva and Ian Sangalang in most of the elimination-round games because of schedule conflicts with their college teams, Hodge picked up the slack in offense and defense.
The results were based on votes from the Commissioner’s Office, media and broadcast.
