GO for Gold shoots for a perfect first round in the 2018 PBA D-League Foundation Cup when it battles Che’Lu Bar and Grill on Tuesday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
Well-rested from their 12-day break, the Scratchers look to stretch their four-game win streak. Gametime is at 1 p.m.
The veteran squad has relied on experience in its past four games, with Gab Banal and Jai Reyes showing the way.
But coach Charles Tiu acknowledges that it won’t be the case this time out as the Revellers have the same veteran presence to match the Scratchers manpower.
“They have a lot of veterans also and they’re a very physical team. That should be a tough game for us,” he said.
Che’Lu has been on a tear of its own, winning its last three games after dropping its conference opener.
Coach Stevenson Tiu says his the Revellers are the underdogs, and he sees this clash as a good matchup.
“Sila pa rin ang mas malakas, pero kailangan namin yung mga games na yun para ma-push kami to the limit. Kailangan talaga namin silang paghandaan,” he said.
Jeff Viernes, Chris Bitoon and Jay-R Taganas are expected to again lead the Revellers.
Skidding teams Marinerong Pilipino-TIP and AMA Online Education clash in the other game.
The Engineers (2-3) are on a two-game losing run, while Titans are winless in five games.
