    Go for Gold-CSB gains D-League quarterfinals with rout of McDavid

    GO for Gold-CSB formally advanced to the 2019 PBA D-League playoffs, clobbering McDavid, 119-101, on Tuesday at JCSGO Gym in Cubao.

    Clement Leutcheu of Senegal and Edward Dixon powered the Scratchers to an early 37-21 lead, setting the tone for the rout as they took a lead as high as 31.

    "We're happy we made it to the quarterfinals," said coach Charles Tiu. "That's one of our goals this conference because it's a very stacked conference."

    Leutcheu finished with 19 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three steals, while the Fil-Am Dixon added 16, 10 coming from that early spurt.

    Roosevelt Adams tallied 13 points and 10 rebounds, as Justin Gutang got 12 points, six assists and three boards as Go for Gold scored its sixth win in nine games in the Aspirants Group.

    Jeremiah Pangalangan, Prince Carlos, and James Pasturan all had 11 points for Go for Gold-CSB.

    McDavid ended its maiden foray in the developmental ranks with a 1-8 slate.

    Jason Melano topped the newcomers with 26 points and seven rebounds, while Jerwin Gaco had 20 in the loss.
