GO for Gold looks to celebrate a championship while Che’Lu Bar and Grill hopes to force a decider as the Scratchers and Revellers clash in Game Four of the 2018 PBA D-League Foundation Cup finals on Tuesday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Game time is at 5 p.m.

Failing to unlock the puzzle that was the Revellers in their first three tries, the Scratchers have finally found a solution, winning two straight games including a 98-96 Game Three thriller last Thursday.

“I’ll be honest, and don’t look at it as I’m saying it arrogantly, but I kept telling the guys that we were the better team,” said Go for Gold coach Charles Tiu.

Talent-wise, on paper, lahat sabihin mo na. It’s just that Che’Lu was the hungrier team and they outplayed us every time,” he added.

“Now, our players know what’s at stake. So not to pressure them or anything, but we just have to win and play on Tuesday. Sana kami naman yung mag-three in a row sa Che’Lu.”

Paul Desiderio scored 28 points in the recent conquest, including the game-winning bucket that put his side on the hill in the best-of-five titular affair.

That is just a welcome development for Go for Gold, who has repeatedly banked on MVP contender Gab Banal for the entirety of the conference.

But standing in its way will be a dangerous Che’Lu Bar and Grill side, one which is hell-bent on stopping a repeat from last conference’s Finals where it finished runner-up to Zark’s Burger-Lyceum.

Go for Gold will first have to go through Jeff Viernes before lifting the trophy, as the Revellers would be ready to do everything in their power to send the series to a winner-take-all Game Five.

“Our mindset will be no retreat, no surrender,” said coach Stevenson Tiu. “We’ll do our best to force a Game Five.”
