GO for Gold-CSB used a late third quarter spurt to pull away from AMA Online Education, 109-91, in the 2019 PBA D-League on Tuesday at JCSGO Gym in Cubao.
Roosevelt Adams had 21 points, 17 rebounds and five assists to lead the Scratchers to their fourth straight win.
Robi Nayve added 19 points and five rebounds, Carlo Young got 13 points and Jimboy Pasturan had 12 for the Scratchers.
From a tight 70-68 affair, Go for Gold-CSB strung seven straight points in the final minute of the third quarter to take a 77-68 lead and used that momentum to erupt for 32 points in the payoff period and break away from AMA.
The win allowed the Scratchers to move up to fourth place in the Aspirants Group with a 5-3 card, while dealing the Titans’ playoff bid a serious blow. AMA suffered its fourth loss in six games.
"I think we just got off to a bad start. Medyo slow start kami, but we picked it up and we're playing much better," said coach Charles Tiu.
Joshua Munzon had 30 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and three steals before being ejected for a pair of technical fouls with 2:38 on the clock.
Franky Johnson also got 26 points, six steals, and four assists before also being sent out for a flagrant foul penalty two with 1:58 remaining.
