PAUL Zamar and June Dizon scored all the points in a telling 18-0 run to help Cebuana Lhuillier win 76-68 over Café France and snap its two-game skid in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup on Thursday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Zamar had 17 points while Dizon had 10 in the game, scoring 20 of the Gems’ 33-point production in the fourth to improve their record to an even 2-2 win-loss slate.

Dizon, who also grabbed 11 boards, began the game-clinching run with a three-point swing while Zamar’s three-point basket had the Gems up, 74-61, with two minutes left.

That run erased a 61-56 advantage for Café France, which could not recover and hit just one field goal in the final five minutes of the game.

The Gems, coming off losses to Fruitas (90-91) and Cebuana Lhuillier (61-81), snapped their skid despite a sluggish first quarter that saw them score just six.

“We are just lucky with the win. Eto naman ang pinag-darasal ko na to get back in the win column para magkaroon kami ng kumpiyansa,” said Cebuana Lhuillier coach Beaujing Acot.

“Losing by one point and 20 points, mahirap maka-bounce back,” he added.

Raymond Aguilar added 12 points while Jopher Custodio pumped in 11 for the Gems.

Café France joins Cebuana Lhuillier with a 2-2 card.

Roger Pogoy had a game-high 19 points, while Jens Knuttel had 15 points but fouled out with three minutes to play.

The scores:
