GAMBOA Coffee Mix-St. Clare got a lucky break in the waning seconds of overtime to take a 107-106 win over Zark's Burger-Lyceum in the PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup on Tuesday at the JCSGO Gym in Cubao.
With the score tied at 106 with under 10 ticks remaining, Zark's Burger-Lyceum was meted a technical foul for calling for a timeout when it had none left.
Trevis Jackson, who hit a triple that extended the match to an extra period, canned the pressure-packed technical free throw for the final score.
Jackson finished with game-high 29 points.
The Coffee Lovers improved its win-loss record to 4-3, while the Jawbreakers slid to their third straight defeat for a 4-4 tally.
Mike Nzeusseu and CJ Perez scored 20 each for the Jawbreakers.
