PHOENIX went full throttle from start to finish to dethrone Cafe France, 89-78, and book a return trip to the finals of the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Strike Gym in Bacoor, Cavite on Tuesday.

Mike Tolomia took matters into his own hands in the fourth period, where he dropped eight of his 31 points. Mac Belo and Ed Daquioag added 15 and 12 markers, respectively, for the Accelerators.

"Thankful ako sa mga players ko. Halos wala na ako masyado sinabi sa dugout. Nagusap-usap talaga sila sa court," said Phoenix coach Eric Gonzales, whose team will face the winner between Racal and Tanduay in the other semifinal match.

Phoenix raced off to a 19-7 start, but sputtered for a while in the second quarter when the Bakers sparked a 13-to-nothing run to trim the gap to one, 39-38.

The Accelerators wrapped up the first half with a slim 45-40 edge, but they put their feet on the gas anew and took a 55-43 lead after Tolomia's four-point play.
