THE Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) said the upcoming Finals of the D-League Foundation Cup between defending champion Blackwater Sports and NLEX will be aired on television.

League media bureau chief Willy Marcial said Sports5 will carry the best-of-three title series featuring the two PBA-bound franchises, possibly on a primetime slot over TV5.

The airing schedule will be announced at a later date.

Blackwater Sports and NLEX begin their title rematch on Friday at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum, with both teams looking to finish their respective D-League stints on a winning note before moving to the pro league starting next season.

Game time is 1:30 p.m.

The Elite are the reigning champion of the season-ending conference after sweeping the Road Warriors in last year’s finals, ending NLEX’s consecutive title run at four.

The Road Warriors, however, are the winningest team in the league with five titles after recently ruling the Aspirants Cup championship.
