AKARI-Adamson scored their third victory after defeating Che'Lu Bar and Grill-San Sebastian, 84-75, in the PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup on Tuesday at the JCSGO Gym in Cubao.
It was a nip-and-tuck match until the Falcons got going in the fourth period, turning a 60-53 lead into a double-digit cushion that was big enough to hold off the Revellers for the rest of the match.
Almost two minutes into the final period, Jonathan Espeleta sank a booming triple that gave the Falcons a commanding 69-54 advantage.
Both teams traded baskets before the Revellers eventually ran out of steam in the final stretch.
Akari-Adamson claimed their third win in four matches while the Revellers slid to 2-3.
Jerick Ahanmisi topscored for Akari-Adamson with 18 points, while Espeleta added 15 markers.
Jerie Pingoy played for the first time since undergoing a surgery to remove bone spurs in his left ankle. He finished with five points.
Alfred Batino and Samboy De Leon had 14 points each for the Revellers.
