FLYING V hopes to continue its hot start as it takes on Wangs in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup on Tuesday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
Sharing the top spot with Racal and Batangas, the Thunder seek a third straight victory in the 12 p.m. match.
Although they did well in their first two outings including an upset win over Aspirants' Cup champion Cignal in the opener, Thunder coach Eric Altamirano said they are nowhere near top form.
"There’s no doubt that this team can play on offense. The thing I’m worried about is our defense,” said Altamirano.
Altamirano hopes to see some improvement on that end against the Couriers, who are coming off a heartbreaking 81-79 loss to Batangas.
Meanwhile, the Hawkeyes are also raring to bounce back from a loss to Marinerong Pilipino when they tackle AMA Online Education in the 2 p.m. game.
Cignal coach Boyet Fernandez says the game will be a big test for the Hawkeyes, who hold a 2-2 card.
"It's a tough situation for us coming from a loss against Marinerong Pilipino. Going to this game against AMA, it's a big character test for us," Fernandez said.
