ELOY Poligrates has been hailed as MVP of the PBA D-League Foundation Cup on Wednesday.
Taking the lead for Marinerong Pilipino this conference, the 31-year-old playmaker from Poro in Cebu recorded 21 points on 30 percent shooting from threes, with 3.1 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.6 steals as the Skippers advanced to the finals for the first time in franchise history.
Marinerong Pilipino is looking to complete a sweep of BRT Sumisip Basilan-St. Clare in the finals, which would also put the squad as only the third team to complete a perfect season after NLEX did it in 2012 and 2014 Foundation Cups.
Poligrates edged Joshua Fontanilla and Rich Guinitaran for the highest individual plum.
