ED Daquioag exploded for 22 points as Phoenix defeated Tanduay, 98-79, Tuesday to get its PBA D-League Foundation Cup bid rolling at the JCSGO gym.
Mike Tolomia had 15 points, while Rogoy Pogoy added 12 markers for Phoenix, which outscored Tanduay, 27-10, in the second period for a 47-27 halftime lead.
Jovit Mendoza was the lone double digit scorer for Tanduay with 11 points as the Rhum Masters fell to 1-1 after winning over AMA in the opener.
The Accelerators are looking to score a second second straight developmental league title after topping the Aspirants Cup.
