EA Regen Medical Group eyes its second straight win on Monday against Boracay Rum when the PBA D-League Foundation Cup resumes action after a Holy Week break at The Arena in San Juan.
While several teams have played as many as four games, the Regens have played only one and will be looking to catch up with league-leading Fruitas (3-0).
Regen and Boracay face off at 2 p.m.
EA Regen booked its first win when it clobbered Hogs Breath Café, 83-58, using a second-half pullaway that led to the lopsided victory on March 21.
Many coaches consider EA a powerhouse squad, but the Pampanga-based team groped for form on offense.
Ian Sangalang, expected to be one of the main scoring threats for EA, was released by four-time defending champion NLEX only days before the team’s debut and team officials said the shaky start can be attributed to lack of preparation.
“Hopefully, makapag-adjust na kami sa opensa dahil very rusty pa,” said EA Regen assistant coach Allan Trinidad.
Big Chill battles Café France in the first match of a tripleheader at 12 p.m.
The Superchargers and the Bakers are eyeing their third win in four outings, hoping to join Blackwater Sports at third place.
Cagayan Valley, meanwhile, faces Jumbo Plastic at 4 p.m. as it tries to catch up with the leaders after splitting its first two games.
Jumbo Plastic, tied at 10th spot with fellow newcomer Hogs Breath Café at 1-3, looks to break a two-game slide.
