BLACKWATER Sports finally notched its first win of the conference after thumping Big Chill, 93-75, on Monday in a PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the JCSGO gym marred by a partial walkout by the Superchargers.
The Elite dominated from the get-go to claim their first win after suffering two straight losses to start what could be their final conference in the developmental league after recently applying for membership in the PBA.
Blackwater Sports coach Leo Isaac said the two losses were due to the team being tight.
“Parang kailangan lang namin magising sa natural,” Isaac said. “First two games kasi parang tight kami. We had to go back sa basics na we have to enjoy playing basketball.”
Former Big Chill cager Reil Cervantes topscored for Blackwater Sports with 15 points while adding nine rebounds, as Pari Llagas chipped in 13 points. Kevin Ferrer and Jericho Cruz each had 12.
Big Chill suffered its first loss after going 2-0 to start the conference.
The Superchargers also staged a ‘partial walkout’ in the second quarter of the contest due to several questionable calls and non-calls during the game.
