DENOK Miranda is set to return to action in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup.
The former PBA player has been activated by Marinerong Pilipino for the semifinal series against Zark's-Lyceum, replacing Louie Brill, according to a memo released by the league.
Miranda is one of the assistant coaches at Marinerong Pilipino.
The 35-year-old Miranda last suited up for Blackwater in the PBA in 2017, before accepting the position of assistant coach with the Skippers.
Early in the conference, Miranda said he is ready to play if ever he is needed by Marinerong Pilipino head coach Koy Banal.
“Baka maglaro ako o hindi maglaro. Depende sa sitwasyon,” Miranda said.
Miranda was joined in the Marinero coaching staff by Mark Isip, a former teammate of Miranda at Far Eastern University.
“Anytime na kakailanganin namin ‘yung veteran leadership nila, anytime ready naman sila. Nakikipag-ensayo naman sila,” Banal said.D
