Fil-foreign aspirants have only until November 10 to apply for PBA D-League draft

Alaska's Fil-Italian guard Chris Banchero had to play for two conferences in the D-League before becoming eligible for the PBA rookie draft. 

Fil-foreign players aspiring to have a career in the Philippine Basketball Association have until Friday (Dec. 10) to join the PBA D-League Rookie Draft.

Under PBA rules, overseas-born Filipino players need to play at least two conferences in the developmental league to be eligible for the pro league draft.

The deadline for local-born aspirants is on Nov. 1.

School-based teams, meanwhile, are advised to submit the names of new players to determine the drafting order for the Rookie Draft scheduled on December 12.

The PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup starts on January 18.
