TREVIS Jackson and Chris Bitoon joined forces in the third period as Gamboa Coffee Mix-St. Clare clobbered Jose Rizal University, 93-76, in the PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup on Monday at the JCSGO Gym in Cubao.

The two found their mark and combined for 18 points in the third where the Coffee Lovers outscored their foes, 38-21, to build a 72-54 cushion entering the final frame.

The Heavy Bombers couldn't recover from there as the Coffee Lovers went on to carve out their second victory in three games.

Jackson had 25 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals, while Bitoon chimed in 18 markers, four boards, three dimes, and two steals.

Mohammed Pare ended up with a double-double as he added 17 points and 12 boards to go with two assists, a steal, and a pair of blocks.

Despite the rousing victory, Gamboa coach Jinino Manansala warned his wards of overconfidence, reminding them of the team’s tough schedule ahead.

"Malayo pa e (sa klase ng team na gustong ma-achieve). Sabi ko sa kanila don't get too excited. Marami pang malalakas na kalaban dyan," Manansala said.

Paolo Pontejos scored 16 for JRU, which fell to a 1-2 card.

MJ Dela Virgen chipped in 14 markers, while Jed Mendoza and Jeckster Apinan had 10 each.
