CHE’LU Bar and Grill went bonkers in the second half to down Batangas-EAC, 78-57, and claim its third straight win in the 2018 PBA D-League Foundation Cup on Thursday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Chris Bitoon triggered the third-quarter breakaway, unloading eight of his 19 points when the Revellers finally wriggled free from the Generals and improve to 3-1 (win-loss).

Jeff Viernes added nine points, four rebounds, five assists, and three steals, while Jay-R Taganas and Stephen Siruma nabbed nine and seven, respectively, for Che’Lu.

Jason Melano also flexed his muscle down low with his eight points, 10 rebounds, and two blocks.

Revellers coach Stevenson Tiu was glad to see his side never let up the entire game, something which he believes bodes well for the team ahead of matches against the league leaders.

“Hopefully, sana ganoon pa rin ang laruin namin sa malalakas na teams, na same intensity pa rin kami,” he said.

Trailing 37-36 early in the period, Che’Lu went on a 24-7 barrage to grab a commanding 60-44 lead at the end of the quarter.

The Generals, who fell to 1-3, got 13 points from Earvin Mendoza and 12 each from Clark Derige and Christian Manalo.

Save for Cedric de Joya’s 10 points, Batangas-EAC hardly got any more help from its other players.

    The scores:

    CHE’LU BAR AND GRILL 78 — Bitoon 19, Siruma 9, Taganas 9, Viernes 9, Lao 8, Melano 8, Collado 7, Sta. Ana 6, Ochea 3, Flores 0, Mallari 0.

    BATANGAS-EAC 57 — Mendoza 13, Derige 12, Manalo 12, De Joya 10, Dela Peña 4, Tabi 4, Harris 2, Arim 0, Delfinado 0, Diolanto 0, Guiang 0, Mohammed 0, Saldana 0.
