    CEU vents ire on Akari-Adamson to get back on track, snap Falcons three-game win run

    CENTRO Escolar University regained its footing after drubbing Akari-Adamson, 76-57, in the PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup on Tuesday at the JCSGO Gym in Cubao.

    Rod Ebondo had 25 points, 18 rebounds and three blocks. Joseph Manlangit added 13 markers, while Mark Cruz had nine points and eight rebounds as the Scorpions capitalized on the absence of Adamson’s Papi Sarr and Tyrus Hill.

    Coming off a stunning overtime loss to Go for Gold, the Scorpions raced off to a hot start, 23-11, and went on to notch their fourth win in five games, while snapping the Falcon's three-game winning streak.

    Akari-Adamson now shares second spot with Marinerong Pilipino and Zark's Burger-Lyceum at 4-2.

    "It's all about preparation," said CEU coach Yong Garcia. "Talagang pinagtrabahuhan namin sa ensayo kaya maganda resulta ng game."

    Joey Catapusan paced the Falcons with 13 points, while Sean Manganti added 12.
