ST. Clare College Virtual Reality and Centro Escolar University clash one last time in the PBA D-League as they face off in the decider of the best-of-three semifinals on Tuesday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
The Saints, who play in the National Athletic Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (Naascu), look to continue their fine run in the developmental league.
"Pangarap talaga namin makaabot doon sa finals kasi di pa namin nararating yun," admitted coach Jinino Manansala.
The Saints forced Game Three with a dominant 84-50 win over the Scorpions last Thursday, with Malian center Mohammad Pare leading the way.
Also expected to rise are guards Junjie Hallare, Joshua Fontanilla and Irven Palencia, with St. Clare intent of showing the door to CEU.
Tip-off is at 4 p.m., with the winner facing Cignal-Ateneo in the best-of-five championship showdown.
The Scorpions, meanwhile, try to score another big win with a crew that is down to eight men after a game-fixing scandal.
"Like I said before, win or lose, I'll take it. I'm just proud with how our boys are fighting despite our situation," said CEU coach Derrick Pumaren.
Senegalese big man Maodo Malick Diouf, Rich Guinitaran and Franz Diaz hope to play solid again and carry the depleted team to the championship sseries.
