CEBUANA Lhuillier edged out Big Chill with a telling fourth-quarter finish for a 65-60 win on Thursday in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Meralco Gym.
The Gems finished the game with an 11-6 to pull off the victory, improving to a 3-1 win-loss record after suffering its first loss of the conference last week to then-winless Cagayan Valley.
“’Yung motivation lang namin is to try to make a comeback sa loss. They played hard,” said Cebuana Lhuillier assistant coach Bai Cristobal.
James Martinez led the Gems with 13 points, including a three-pointer that made it 63-55 with five minutes left in the fourth.
The Superchargers, who was fined P150,000 for staging a ‘partial walkout’ against Blackwater Sports on Monday, suffered their second straight loss for a 2-2 win-loss record.
