    Cagayan Valley, Hog’s Breath Café look to boost bids for quarterfinal bonus

    CAGAYAN Valley and Hog’s Breath Café battle separate opponents on Tuesday, both seeking to boost their bids for a twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals of the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup at the Trinity University of Asia gym.

    The Rising Suns take on Cebuana Lhuillier at 12 p.m., while the Razorbacks face Blackwater Sports at 2 p.m.

    Cagayan Valley and Hog’s Breath are tied for fourth place with a 7-3 win-loss card, and are battling for one remaining twice-to-beat quarterfinal incentive. Jumbo Plastic Linoleum finished its elimination round campaign in third spot with a 10-3 slate.

    Cagayan Valley and Cebuana Lhuillier (4-6), playing the second game in as many days, are coming off contrasting results.

    The Rising Suns beat National University-Banco De Oro on Monday, 101-92, while the Gems suffered an 80-68 loss to NLEX.

    Meanwhile, Hog’s Breath Café goes for its second straight win after beating NU-BDO last week, 87-80, snapping its three-game losing skid.

    Still with a shot at a twice-to-beat incentive, Blackwater Sports (6-4), looks to bounce back after losing to NLEX last week.
