CAFÉ France notched its fourth straight win, beating Livermarin, 79-55, on Thursday in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
The Bakers tightened their hold on second place with a 4-1 win-loss slate, and are now one-and-a-half game behind unbeaten Cebuana Lhuillier (6-0).
“They are starting to play good because we are jelling. Hopefully, we peak at the right time,” said Café France coach Egay Macaraya, whose team have not lost since their opening game against Cebuana Lhuillier.
Samboy De Leon scored 11 of his 18 points in the third quarter for Café France, which also got 15 from Maverick Ahanmisi.
Michael Miranda and Joseph Sedurifa each had 10 for the Bakers, who now brace for tough matches with midtable squads Hapee and KeraMix.
The Liver Guardians fell to a 1-4 win-loss record to tie MP Hotel at the bottom of the team standings.
