CAFÉ France tries to extend its winning streak to five when it takes on four-time defending champion NLEX on Tuesday in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Blue Eagle Gym.
It will be the first time the two teams meet since the Bakers’ win in the Aspirants Cup last December that ended a 24-game win streak by the Road Warriors.
Gametime is at 4 p.m.
With a 4-1 win-loss slate, Café France shares the top spot in the team standings with Blackwater Sports as the halfway mark of the conference nears.
“Everybody wants to win na, hindi na biro biro ’yung stage ng conference,” said Café France head coach Egay Macaraya.
The Bakers coach said they need to play near perfect against NLEX (2-2), especially on defense.
“As always we have to make stops. All-star sila so everybody will have to play individual and team defense. Walang lapses,” Macaraya said.
The Bakers extended their winning run to four games when they beat EA Regen Medical Group, 107-92, last week.
In the first game, Blackwater Sports tries to keep its place on top as it goes up against Jumbo Plastic.
The Elite are facing another struggling team after they beat winless Informatics, 89-73, last week.
The Linoleum Giants have a 1-4 win-loss card.
