BRT Sumisip Basilan-St. Clare opens its bid for a breakthrough Finals apearance when it takes on Alberei Kings in the opening day of the 2019 PBA D-League Foundation Cup Thursday at Paco Arena.
Coming off a semifinal run in the 2019 Aspirants' Cup, the Saints will battle the newcomers at 5:30 p.m.
Veteran mentor Stevenson Tiu will be calling the shots for BRT Sumisip-St. Clare, which will be banking on its old reliables Joshua Fontanilla, Irven Palencia, Junjie Hallare, and Malian big man Mohammed Pare.
Also in tow for St. Clare is Cris Dumapig, who is coming off a solid run with Che'Lu Bar and Grill last conference.
The Kings, on the other hand, will rely on ex-pros Reil Cervantes, Jason Melano, and Jonathan Parreno, as well as UP guard Jun Manzo.
Marvin Lito Caro will be the one at the helm for Alberei in this Group B duel.
Meanwhile, AMA Online Education will open the festivities against newcomer Asia's Lashes Tomas Morato at 1:30 p.m., while the comebacking TIP Engineers will take on McDavid-La Salle Araneta at 3:30 p.m.
