BOBBY Ray Parks quickly made his presence felt as NLEX romped past Café France, 88-67, on Tuesday to remain unbeaten in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Meralco Gym.
Parks had a rousing debut, scoring seven of his 15 points in the second quarter where the Road Warriors imposed their will to remain undefeated after four games.
Parks made his debut for NLEX just after five regular players from San Beda including head coach Boyet Fernandez flew to Lithuania for the preseason training of the Red Lions.
Assistant coach Raymund Celis, sitting in for Fernandez in the game, admitted that Parks played a big role in the game.
“Ray Ray gave us a big lift but it was a total team effort in the absence of the San Beda guys both on offense and defense,” said Celis.
Ronald Pascual was the top scorer for the Road Warriors with 23 points, while Garvo Lanete added 15 markers. Matt Ganuelas pulled down 12 rebounds.
The Road Warriors outscored the Bakers, 30-17, in the second quarter to post a commanding 49-23 lead at the half.
The Bakers dropped to 2-2.
