BLACKWATER Sports hopes to see Kevin Ferrer in action when the Elite battle the NLEX Road Warriors on Thursday in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup at the JCSGO gym in Quezon City.

Ferrer missed the last two games of the team due to a bruised right knee he sustained while practicing for different teams two other teams in Sinag Pilipinas and University of Santo Tomas.

Blackwater Sports coach Leo Isaac is keeping his fingers crossed Ferrer will be able to play for the all-important game against NLEX, a rematch of last conference’s title series between the two teams won by the Elite.

“Hindi pa puwede (nung Tuesday against Derulo Accelero),” said Isaac. “Pero he’s been joining us in practice. Baka sa Thursday puwede na siya maglaro.”

Even without Ferrer, Blackwater Sports has won two straight games as it tries to climb in the standings with a 6-3 win-loss slate.

So far, the Elite are in sixth place and with a fighting chance for a twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals if they finished either third or fourth at the end of the eliminations.
