ALEX Nuyles has moved to EA Regen Medical Group after playing for more than a conference with Big Chill in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup.
EA Regen coach Allan Trinidad confirmed on Monday that Nuyles will be suiting up for the team in their next game on May 7 at the Ynares Sports Arena, ironically against his former team.
“Sana makabawi kami sa susunod kasi lalaro na si Nuyles,” said Trinidad, following their 88-82 win over Informatics on Monday.
Trinidad didn’t reveal how they had obtained Nuyles but a source said that the former Adamson Falcon was traded to Big Chill for Jeckster Apinan, who was not on the bench during the Regens’ game against Informatics.
Nuyles will add another scoring option to the fourth-ranked Regens (5-3), who are still in contention for one of the two outright spots in the semifinals or a twice-to-beat incentive in the quarterfinals.
It is not clear, however, why Big Chill agreed to let go of Nuyles, who is the second leading scorer of the team behind Terrence romeo with his 12.3-point per game average.
The move came after the Superchargers lost to Jumbo Plastic last week, continuing their inconsistent play which has seen them fall to a share of ninth place with the Linoleum Giants on 4-5 win-loss cards.
Big Chill will play Cebuana Lhuillier on Tuesday at the JCSGO gym in Quezon City.
