BIG CHILL whipped newcomer Derulo Accelero, 75-56, on Thursday to continue its hot start in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
The Superchargers led from start to finish to post their fifth win in as many games and tighten their grip on the top spot of the team standings.
There was no letdown on the part of the Superchargers, which has lost to newcomers Informatics and Hogs Breath Café in the past two conferences.
“Dalang dala na ako nung last two conferences na nadadale kami ng mga bagong teams,” said Big Chill coach Robert Sison. “’Yun ang pinakamahirap kalaban.”
“Mas malaking pressure sa amin ’yun kaya I’m happy that everyone stepped up at maganda ’yung naging scouting report namin,” Sison added.
The Oilers are winless in six games.
Janus Lozada and Jeckster Apinan had 14 points each while Reil Cervantes and Rodney Brondial had 12 and 10 markers respectively. Brian Heruela had five points, five rebounds, five assists, and two steals.
