BIG Chill and Cebuana Lhuillier try to stay undefeated and look to join NLEX on top of the standings as they face winless teams in the resumption of the PBA D-League Foundation Cup on Monday at the JCSGO gym in Quezon City.

The Superchargers take on defending champion Blackwater Sports at 4 p.m. in the final game of a tripleheader, while the Gems clash with Cagayan Valley at 2 p.m.

Idle NLEX is alone on top with a 3-0 win-loss record.

Robert Sison, head coach of Big Chill, expects Blackwater Sports to play with a sense of urgency with the Elite having lost two straight games to start the conference.

Blackwater will also have Reil Cervantes back after missing the team’s last game to serve a one-game suspension for punching Ola Adeogun of NLEX in their first outing.

“Knowing where they’re coming from, they can’t afford to lose,” Sison said. “But we can’t afford to lose also so talagang pupukpukin namin. We have to be consistent.”

The Gems are off to a fine start, winning their second win at the expense of Derulo Accelero, 90-86, last week.

But head coach Boycie Zamar said the unbeaten start should not be an excuse for the Gems to be complacent.

“Hopefully we could keep it up. I expect them to be motivated when we play them. So hopefully, we could match their intensity and energy,” said Zamar.

In the first offering, Jumbo Plastic seeks its second win in three games when it faces winless Derulo Accelero at 12 p.m.
