    Big Chill defeats Cafe France to stay unscathed

    MAR Villahermosa scored all of his 18 points in the second half as Big Chill won, 94-87, victory over Café France on Monday to stay unbeaten in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup at the JCSGO gym in Quezon City.

    Villahermosa paced the Superchargers, scoring five straight points at the start of the third quarter en route to their sixth win in as many outings to stay on top of the standings.

    The win is expected to be a boost for the Superchargers as they go up against NLEX on December 2.

    “’Yung eagerness to win, hindi mo maituturo ‘yun. Everyone is playing and accepting their roles. I think ‘yun ang nag-wowork sa amin,” said Big Chill coach Robert Sison.

    Villahermosa’s baskets put Big Chill ahead, 49-38, in the third quarter, before scoring 10 in the final canto.

    Café France now holds a 3-3 record following the defeat. The Bakers missed several players from their Centro Escolar University, which was playing a game in the Philippine Collegiate Champions League in Tanauan City.

    Reil Cervantes had 18 points in the win followed by Jeckster Apinan with 14 points. Brian Heruela had 12 assists for Big Chill.

    Mac Montilla finished with 23 points for Café France.
