JOSEPH Sedurifa went all out to give Batangas its first win in three outings in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup on Tuesday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Sedurifa spearheaded Batangas' attack with 17 points on top of 10 rebounds, five assists, and a block, and his all-around effort didn't go to waste as the Batanguenos edged Victoria Sports, 88-85.

"Sobrang saya. Nakaka-inspire lalo maglaro," said Sedurifa, a former Meralco draft pick who had previous stints with Centro Escolar University and Cafe France.

As one of the more experienced cagers in the young Batangas team, Sedurifa said he savors his leadership role in the squad as he oversees the improvement of his teammates.

"Iba yung confidence ko ngayon. Gusto ko tulungan team ko dahil ako yung may experience. Hopefully, ma-impart ko sa kanila yung natutunan ko sa ibang teams before," said Sedurifa, who played briefly for the Bolts in the 2015 PBA season.

Sedurifa also said that Tuesday's victory will go a long way in boosting the confidence of Batangas, which arrested a two-game losing skid.

"Basta patuloy lang kaming lumalaban kahit anong team kalaban namin. Tuloy lang yung process namin to improve," he said.

"Palaging nire-remind samin ni coach na young pa lang yung team, di pa masyado nagje-jel. Hindi pa united. Basta samin lang, pakita lang yung focus namin sa defense at offense bawat game," he added.
