BATANGAS coach Eric Gonzales kept his head up despite his team’s early exit in the PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup.
After all, nothing much was expected from a team that gained much experience in the opening conference, where Batangas won four of its nine games including a 91-69 rout of third-seed Cafe France on Monday.
"Definitely we got something from this and we just have to keep improving," said Gonzales.
"Pasalamat naman ako na yung seed na tinanim namin, tumutubo naman."

Still, Gonzales is looking to improve Batangas’ firepower and depth, particularly in the frontcourt, when they lock horns again in the Foundation Cup.
"I need a scorer siguro. Wala kaming lalim and another big man," said Gonzales, who was also adamant on giving all his players proper playing time to help their development.
"More than that, kailangan gamitin lahat, Part ng program that you use everybody. Hopefully, we become better next conference," he added.
