AFTER a long layoff, Arvie Bringas returns to the PBA D-League after signing up with Hapee for the upcoming Foundation Cup.
Hapee team manager Bernard Yang said Bringas is one of the new players the Fresh Fighters are bringing in for the new conference starting on Thursday, joining former College of Saint Benilde cager Mark Romero and Mar Villahermosa.
The Far Eastern University big man was out of the developmental league for several conferences after sustaining an ACL injury during his time with Big Chill more than a year ago.
The team hopes Bringas and his fellow new boys can fill the void for the Fresh Fighters in the absence of San Beda players for the Foundation Cup.
Ola Adeogun, Baser Amer, and the rest of the Red Lions won’t be around for Hapee’s bid for a second straight title as the Red Lions are focusing on their preparations for NCAA Season 91.
Hapee captured its first PBA D-League crown in its first try in the Aspirants Cup after defeating Cagayan Valley via sweep last month.
