SO who says the PBA D-League lacks glitz and glamour?
Star Angel Locsin and beauty queens MJ Lastimosa and Venus Raj were some of the well-known personalities who acted as muses when the country’s premier commercial amateur cage league kicked off its fifth season on Monday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
Locsin paraded with fancied team Hapee Toothpaste during the simple opening rites of the season-opening Aspirants Cup. The charming ABS-CBN talent in her elegant back-less yellow dress, is the official product endorser of the Filipino-manufactured consumer brand.
Lastimosa, the reigning Miss Universe Philippines, served as muse of Cagayan Valley, while Raj, fourth runner-up in the 2010 Miss Universe pageant, was muse of AMA University.
Model and television host Phoemela Baranda carried the Café France banner as muse, as did FHM models Jef Gaitan and Maica Palo and Bianca Peralta for MJM Builders and Tanduay Light, respectively.
It didn’t come as a surprise for Kristelle Batchelor to be muse of new team Bread Story-Lyceum. The lovely lady served as ABS-CBN courtside reporter for University of Santo Tomas during the UAAP season and Bread Story boasts of three UST players in its roster in Kent Lao, Ed Daquioag, and Louie Vigil.
Wangs Basketball had Patricia Nicole Salumbangon, a Star Magic talent, as muse, who also sang the national anthem at the start of the program.
The rest of the muses who paraded include Catherine May Yap (Cebuana Lhuillier), Kristelle Halili (Jumbo Plastic), Maram Banajah (MP Hotel), and Megan Zervoulakos (Racal Motors).
