ANDRE Paras continued to show his rebounding prowess in the PBA D-League but vowed to contribute more as he ended up scoreless in AMA Online Education’s loss to Wangs-Letran.
The 6-foot-5 Paras racked up one rebound after another to finish with 11 boards but was disappointed in adding nothing else in AMA’s opener as Wangs came away with a 93-75 win in the Aspirants Cup on Monday.
"It hurts to say na babawi lang next game kasi pwede naman today. I thoughtIi could have contributed today," he said.
"Nakacontribute naman by getting rebounds but as you can see today hindi sapat yun. So I need to up my game offensively."
The 22-year-old Paras admitted he was still groping for form, partly because of his showbiz projects including GMA Fantaserye Sirkus. But he still makes up for lost time with some extra workouts before and after practice.
"I'm kinda out of shape," he admitted.
"I guess I've just been working a lot pero bumabawi naman ako sa training. I make sure I catch up naman after work but it's not an excuse kasi nag-commit na ako dito. So I do the extra work before and after practice."
The son of PBA legend Benjie, though, has a tough task in trying to bounce back stronger when the Titans face the Zark's Burger-Lyceum on Thursday at the Ynares Sports Center in Pasig.
"Hopefully I can make an impact offensively. You have to work on it talaga," he said.
