PHILIP Paniamogan had 22 points while JR Taganas finished with 21 points and 20 rebounds as AMA University defeated Racal Motors, 83-76, on Monday in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup at the JCSGO gym.
Paniamogan and Taganas accounted for more than half of the Titans’ points in the game to pull off their second win in five outings.
Jose Rizal University star Paniamogan scored six in a 13-2 run that put the Titans ahead, 49-33, in the third period.
Taganas, a former San Beda Red Lion, also sparked a rally by scoring six straight points to break a 28-28 deadlock at the end of the second period.
Joshua Cubillo had 12 points while Joseph Eriobu had a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds for the Titans.
After registering its first win under new head coach Caloy Garcia, Racal Motors dropped to 1-4.
