AMA Online Education has signed University of the Philippines guard Diego Dario and veteran big man Jay-R Taganas to beef up its team for the coming PBA D-League season that begins with the Aspirants Cup on January.
AMA coach Mark Herrera said Dario and Taganas are integral parts of a build-up which they hope would help the Titans get deeper in the playoffs after falling short of the semifinals in their previous campaigns.
Taganas is actually a returnee for the Titans, the same team he played for when he set the record for the most rebounds in a PBA D-League game with 29 in 2015.
“Magkakaron ako ng rebounding in Taganas, and with Dario as point guard, may isa pa kaming threat,” said Herrera.
AMA also expects to sign up top draft pick Jeron Teng, the La Salle star who was named the Finals MVP after leading the Green Archers to the UAAP Season 79 crown.
