JOSHUA Munzon is primed to be picked first in the 2019 PBA D-League Draft on Tuesday at the PBA Office in Libis, Quezon City
The Fil-Am wingman is expected to be the first name called from the 153-man pool as AMA Online Education tries to boost its stock heading to the 2019 season of the developmental league.
Coach Mark Herrera is looking to pair Munzon up with last year's top pick Owen Graham and hardworking big man Andre Paras to strengthen an AMA side that has yet to get past the quarterfinals in the D-League.
Munzon can change that, thanks to a game sharpened by stints in the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) with Saigon Heat and Westports Malaysia Dragons, as well as with the IECO Green Warriors in the Asia League Terrific 12.
Aside from Munzon, Herrera also has his eyes set on a pair of players who he believes can bolster the Titans this year.
"We're looking at Kib Montalbo and Fran Asuncion. They're all-around players who can help us," he said.
Also expected to go early in the drafting are University of the Philippines playmaker Juan Gomez de Liano, Adamson forward Sean Manganti, and La Salle big man Santi Santillan.
