ALVIN Pasaol led Petron-Letran to a dominant 115-73 triumph over Batangas-EAC to end its 2019 PBA D-League eliminations Thursday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
The burly forward had 29 points, 11 rebounds and five assists as the Knights wound up with a 6-3 win-loss record in the Aspirants Group.
Petron-Letran took an early 32-14 lead, and the Knights led by as many as 49 points, 115-66.
Jerrick Balanza had 20 points, eight assists, seven rebounds, five steals and two blocks, while Jeo Ambohot wound up with 17 points and nine boards for Letran.
Petron-Letran has a chance to make the top four int eh group, but it needs Go for Gold-CSB and Che'Lu Bar and Grill to drop at least one of their remaining games. Leading the group is Ateneo (8-1) followed by University of Sto. Tomas (5-2) and St. Clare (5-2).
"Hindi na namin hawak yung status namin. Sayang, sana makapasok kami," lamented coach Bonnie Tan. "Binibigay naman namin parati ang best effort namin. May games lang talaga na kailangan naming mag-invest."
Kyle Carlos led the way as EAC got to within nine points, 69-58, late in the third quarter before the Knights went on another onslaught, outscoring the Generals, 39-12 in the payoff period.
Carlos finished with 24 points as Batangas-EAC ended its campaign with a 2-7 slate.
