AKARI-Adamson rolled to their third straight victory after beating Gamboa Coffee Mix-St. Clare, 92-85 in the PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup on Thursday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
Jerrick Ahanmisi put up an all-around outing with 18 points, three rebounds, six assists, and five steals for the Falcons, who tied Zark's Burger-Lyceum at second with identical 4-1 records.
Papi Sarr had 16 points and eight rebounds, while Sean Manganti and Jerie Pingoy scored 13 and 11, respectively.
Jonathan Espeleta added 10 markers as the Falcons handed Gamboa its second loss against two triumphs.
The victory spoiled a splendid performance of Fil-Am Trevis Jackson, who unloaded game-high 29 points, the last were three shots from the stripes that pumped life into the Coffee Lovers inside the final two minutes, 81-88.
Chris Bitoon and Aris Dionisio would make back-to-back baskets after that to pull to within four, 85-89, before Manganti and Sarr made three of four from the foul line with 40 seconds remaining to seal the victory.
Dionisio had 17 points, 12 rebounds, and three blocks.
