CRIS Bitoon scored 33 points as Manuel L. Quezon University defeated New Era University, 88-70, on Friday in the 16th National Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities men’s basketball tournament at the JCSGO Gym.
The Stallions won their season debut, joining opening day winners Colegio De San Lorenzo and Our Lady of Fatima University on top of the standings.
Also joining them in first place were Enderun Colleges and Rizal Technological University.
Michael de la Cruz had 24 points as Enderun beat Earist, 98-90.
Cyrus Tabi had 26 points and Kerr Bangeles scored 24 as RTU won over De Ocampo Memorial College, 87-78.
