COMEDIAN Jose Manalo and matinee idol Gerald Anderson renew acquaintances in Fastbreak Two, a benefit game for the victims of super typhoon Yolanda, on Saturday at the Blue Eagle Gym.
Manalo and Anderson are two of the celebrities that confirmed participation in the charity game organized by Kiefer Ravena where all the proceeds will go to the relief efforts for victims of the super typhoon that devastated most parts of the Visayas region.
Manalo and Anderson were best remembered during Fastbreak One last year for the benefit of victims of ‘Sendong’ when Manalo made a spoof of Anderson’s ‘Budoy’ character in his ABS-CBN TV series. The ‘face-off’ made the rounds on social media sites during that time.
But Ravena said fans can also expect an intense game.
“At some point, it will be a comedy show pero at some point, lalabas din ang competitiveness namin lahat,” said Ravena.
Tickets for the event are priced at P100, P200, and P500.
Ravena will team up with his younger brother Thirdy against a squad led by two-time UAAP Most Valuable Player Bobby Ray Parks.
Aside from the basketball players, volleyball stars will also attend the event and interact with fans.
Ravena said organizing the event was easy since everyone wanted to help out the super typhoon victims.
“It was not difficult especially ‘yung iba, talagang sila ang nagkusa. Kailangan nating tumulong,” said Ravena.
